Closing of the 1st Olympic Semester of 2025
With grateful hearts and high hopes for what lies ahead, we celebrate the closing of the 1st Olympic Semester of 2025 and the 3rd academic semester since the founding of the Núcleo de Estudos Olímpicos (NEO) at Escola Internacional de Alphaville.
In just this year alone, including both completed and ongoing competitions, our students have had the opportunity to challenge themselves in 24 science olympiads. For the upcoming semester, 19 additional competitions are scheduled, totaling 43 olympic opportunities throughout 2025.
The olympiads listed in our Catálogo Olímpico, offered to students from Juniors 3 through High School 3, as well as the Linha NEO+, designed exclusively for medalists and students with exceptional performance, are carefully selected by our pedagogical teams and the NEO staff, and validated by the school’s academic coordinators and leadership. Our goal is to enrich students’ academic journeys and, especially for High School students, to provide real opportunities for university admissions, both in Brazil and abroad through olympiad-based selection processes.
Each scientific olympiad represents a chance for deeper learning, new discoveries, and personal growth. To support our students on this journey, we offer extensive preparatory courses and workshops, ensuring solid preparation for every competition.
In keeping with our tradition, we will hold a major award ceremony in August to present the medals earned in the Concurso Internacional Canguru de Matemática, with all participating students. In the 3rd trimester, we will host another ceremony to honor the medalists of other olympiads for which we have already received the awards. Finally, in the 1st semester of 2026, we will officially close the 2nd Olympic Cycle of 2025 with a final ceremony for the remaining medals.
We invite all families of Teens and High School students to encourage their children to take advantage of the olympic opportunities offered by NEO. Information is shared monthly in student assemblies and posted in the dedicated Google Classroom groups titled “Núcleo de Estudos Olímpicos”, tailored to each academic segment.
Lastly, we are thrilled to share with our community the Updated Medal Count!
Warm regards,
Mr. Matheus Hisnauer
Head of NEO
