NEO calendar

The Núcleo de Estudos Olímpicos da Escola Internacional de Alphaville (NEO) announced this month the opening of the following registrations.

5th Olimpíada Brasileira do Oceano (O2)

The Olimpíada Brasileira do Oceano (O2) promotes ocean culture and environmental education among students, addressing topics such as Brazilian biomes and the relationship between the ocean and human well-being. The O2 aims to engage students and schools in understanding the role of oceans and the importance of sustainability, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

4th International Bebras Challenge – Brazil Edition

The International Bebras Challenge – Brazil Edition is the largest international computational thinking competition. It aims to develop skills such as abstraction, decomposition, pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking through creative and accessible questions, without requiring prior computing knowledge.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

2nd Olimpíada do Tesouro Direto de Educação Financeira (OLITEF)

The OLITEF (Olimpíada do Tesouro Direto de Educação Financeira) is a national initiative aimed at promoting financial education among students from 6th grade of Elementary School to 3rd grade of High School. Organized by the Tesouro Nacional in partnership with B3 and supported by organizations such as MEC, Banco Central, and CONSED, the competition offers students the opportunity to learn how to manage money, invest, and save responsibly, preparing them for future financial decisions.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

11th Olimpíada Brasileira de Raciocínio Lógico (OBRL)

The Olimpíada Brasileira de Raciocínio Lógico(OBRL) is a national educational competition designed to bring schools closer to the world of games and logical challenges, using various pedagogical tools and a methodology aimed at stimulating memory, creativity, dexterity, and logical-analytical thinking in students.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

36th Olimpíada Paulista de Matemática (OPM)

The Olimpíada Paulista de Matemática  (OPM) is a competition that encourages Elementary and High School students to develop logical reasoning, creativity, and mathematical skills. With tests designed to stimulate problem-solving and critical thinking, the OPM seeks to recognize and reward mathematical talent, promoting interest in the subject.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

6th Olimpíada Brasileira de Geopolítica (OBGP)

The Olimpíada Brasileira de Geopolítica (OBGP) is a national competition aimed at stimulating critical understanding of international relations, addressing factors such as geography, politics, economics, and culture that influence decisions and global events.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

5th Olimpíada Brasileira de Biologia Sintética (OBBS)

The Olimpíada Brasileira de Biologia Sintética (OBBS) is a national competition that aims to popularize biotechnology and synthetic biology among students from public and private schools across Brazil. The OBBS offers online tests composed of multiple-choice questions covering topics such as microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and programming logic.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

3rd Olimpíada Brasileira de Empreendedorismo (OBE)

The Olimpíada Brasileira de Empreendedorismo (OBE) is a national competition for students from 6th grade of Elementary School to 3rd grade of High School, aiming to foster entrepreneurial education and stimulate the creation of innovative solutions. The OBE is structured in two stages: in the first, participants develop a business plan using the Canvas methodology; in the second, they present a prototype and a pitch of up to 3 minutes to an evaluation panel.

Target audience: students from Teens 6 to High School 3.

1st Olimpíada Brasileira Online de Artes (OBOArt)

The Olimpíada Brasileira Online de Artes  (OBOArt) is a national competition aimed at encouraging young people’s participation in the arts, covering areas such as music, dance, painting, theater, and literature. Targeted at students from public and private schools, OBOArt seeks to stimulate arts education and value artists in their various fields. The competition provides a platform for participants to explore and express their creativity, promoting artistic and cultural development among Brazilian youth.

Announcement of the medal-winning students in the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest – Brazil Edition

With great joy, we announce the medal-winning students of the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest – Brazil Edition!

For the second consecutive year, our students, from Juniors 3 to High School 3, set a new record for medals, earning an impressive total of 70 awards.

On the 11th of this month, we held our traditional awards ceremony, personally presenting the students with their well-deserved recognitions and celebrating this remarkable achievement together.

Students qualified for the External Selection of the Campeonato de Jogos da Universidade de São Paulo (JOGOMAT)

We are delighted to announce the students qualified for the Seletiva Externa do Campeonato de Jogos Matemáticos da Universidade de São Paulo (JOGOMAT)!

This year, JOGOMAT introduced the concept of abstract boards with the games POGO and GEKITAI. After an internal championship, we selected the students who will represent the Escola Internacional de Alphaville in the External Selection, which will take place in September at the Escola Politécnica da USP.

10 students advance to the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Conhecimentos Multidisciplinares (OBCM)

Facing the challenge of solving 40 questions in 4 hours, 10 students from Teens and High School earned a place in the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Conhecimentos Multidisciplinares (OBCM)!

We celebrate this important achievement and wish our students excellent performance in the next stage, which will take place later this month.

12 students are invited to the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas e Privadas (OBMEP)

After weeks of intense preparation and 2h30 dedicated to solving the 20 questions of the 1st phase, 12 students qualified for the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas e Privadas (OBMEP)!

We congratulate our students for their excellent performance so far and wish them the best of luck and success in the next stage, which will take place in October.

13 students advance to the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Linguística (OBL)

It is with great joy that we announce the selection of 13 students for the 2nd phase of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Linguística (OBL)!

After preparatory sessions and their dedication to solving 18 problems over a period of 9 days, our students stood out and will now represent the Escola Internacional de Alphaville in the next stage, which will take place in September.
