Interhouses Teens
We are delighted to announce the first stage of InterHouses 2025! InterHouses is a competitive event between the school’s four Houses (Bears, Eagles, Jaguars and Sharks). Students from all grades of Teens, and their teachers, are divided into these Houses and represent them throughout their school life! Throughout each school year, students participate in sports and academic activities – cheering, playing, celebrating victories and supporting defeats. Points accumulated throughout the year determine the HOUSE champion of each year!
The sports for this stage will be rugby for Teens 6 and 7 and basketball for Teens 8 and 9, two of the sports worked on in Physical and Health Education (PHE) lessons in the first quarter.
The boys’ and girls’ teams are formed with students from different year groups within the Teens section, promoting greater interaction among participants. This means that, for the boys’ matches, teams will consist of students from Teens 8 and Teens 9 – and the same applies to the girls’ matches. The same structure will be used for Teens 6 and 7, ensuring diversity within each team.
In addition, sportsmanship is consistently encouraged by the PE teacher and the House leaders. The aim is to ensure that the competition is held in a healthy, respectful, and empathetic environment, promoting fair play and providing a positive sporting experience for all involved.
